As the owner of my own house cleaning service for the past 25 years, I have not always scheduled having my home cleaned. Why? My thinking was that I used to clean other peoples homes, so, I can clean it myself! I have always been an "I can do it myself" kind of person. Maybe that is why I have a very successful house cleaning company that services Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue and Everett areas.

The term "green cleaning" refers to the use of vegetable-based materials to clean surfaces rather than chemical-laden detergents and solvents. Don't assume natural products are safer as there are a few things to know about successful green housekeeping.

As the owner of my own house cleaning service for the past 25 years, I have not always scheduled having my home cleaned by one of my fabulously talented house cleaners. Why? My thinking was that I used to clean other peoples homes, so if I can clean it myself, why have someone else clean?
I have always been an "I can do it myself" kind of person. It has helped me grow a very successful house cleaning company that serves the Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Everett and surrounding areas.
Can you relate to the "I Can Do It Myself" way of thinking? Here are the reasons why I now do not do my own house cleaning:
I am a very busy woman and my time is valuable
I have other things much more important to get done that I enjoy doing more than cleaning house
Cleaning house is very hard work and I am allergic to hard work ( ;
When I need extra house cleaning done, I don't have to try to fit it into my schedule – I just call on Maid in the Northwest House Cleaning Service
I am a perfectionist. When cleaning my own house it takes much longer because I can’t stop myself from getting out the toothbrush and magnifier!!! So.....I tend to put house cleaning off until I "have more time"!
I get things "organized" before the housecleaner(s) come so I tend to keep my house more orderly.
Saving the best for last: It MAKES ME VERY HAPPY to come home to a clean house from a long day of work.
There really is not anything better than having a clean home. It is relaxing, refreshing, reduces my stress and makes my week so much more enjoyable. I can take a hot bath in my clean tub and crawl into my freshly washed sheets because the cleaner has made my bed.
How about coming home to a clean bathtub? Fill it up, light a few candles, and enjoy! An evening at your home spa!
You can schedule house cleaning occasionally or regularly. We have a two-hour minimum (one cleaner) for weekly or bi-weekly cleaning so if you only want a bathroom and/or kitchen done – that can be scheduled. Just know that on larger houses, a full cleaning cannot get done in a two-hour cleaning. Two-hour cleanings work really well for very small houses (one bath), apartments and partial cleaning of a larger home.
Give us a call or hit the pink button on our website for a FREE online estimate. We can custom clean so that if you want to eliminate parts of your home to reduce the time, we can do that! Or if you want to add special cleaning projects, we can do that too.
Coming home to a clean home will put a BIG SMILE on your face!

Yes, you can.
First, you must book with the right house cleaning company and be clear about your house cleaning priorities.
1) be willing to clean only the parts of your home you request to be cleaned.
2) send in the same cleaner or team of cleaners each time.
3) send you a house cleaning checklist so you can indicate your priorities.
4) be okay with you scheduling house cleaning only monthly or bi-weekly if this fits your budget.
5) have a 2 hour minimum for regular weekly or bi-weekly cleaning in case you don’t want your whole house cleaned.
Maid in the Northwest can do this for you! Most housecleaning companies cannot.
As a local woman owned company that has been cleaning in the Greater Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma and Everett Areas for over 25 years, we have the lowest minimums of most cleaning companies in the area. The minimum charge for regular weekly or every other week cleaning is $78.00 for two hours and monthly is $117 for three hours.
So I ask you, "what is less stress and peace of mind worth to you?" Is house cleaning really as expensive as you thought? Why not give us a call today to discuss your options?
Staff is available to answer your phone call M-F 8-4. If possible, we prefer a call so we can talk to you directly and give you a more accurate estimate. Or go to our estimate page, and send us an email. We will get back to you the next business day.

Maybe one reason why rain is so depressing, at least here in the Seattle area, is because we can become house bound. So then, we feel obligated to clean house in order to enjoy our surroundings. Here are a few suggestions for helping keep up with the house cleaning instead of procrastinating, making cleaning house an all day job.

Are House Cleaners Born With House Cleaning Common Sense?
Yes, I do believe so. I have a short "test" that my cleaning applicants take as part of their interview. It is very simple. I ask them to prioritize 10 cleaning tasks according to what is most important to cleaning clients with number 1 being most important. An applicant that has cleaning experience and common sense, will answer bathrooms and kitchen being number 1 and 2 as those rooms are generally most important to the majority of house cleaning clients.
